This sculpture honors the majestic beaver that once abundantly inhabited and thrived in this area. The beaver faces the rising sun looking for a day when humans and nature harmonize. The historic wealth of this area was built on the back of the beaver and as it turns out, our future ecologically depends on this same animal that was hunted to near extinction.
